This is achieved by modeling the nature and magnitude of geometric distortions in the imagery. Using advanced camera or satellite models along with limited ground control, we construct correction formulas that produce accurate, geometrically correct, map-oriented imagery. At Nusail Survey, we utilize Leica Photogrammetric Suite to produce high-quality orthoimages.
Ortho Mapping involves the creation of orthophotos, which are aerial photographs that have been corrected for lens distortion, camera tilt, and topographic relief. This correction process results in images where the scale is uniform, and features are represented in their true positions.
